Utah
You can appear put-together and still feel anxious, disconnected, or like you are never enough.
I support high-achieving women across Utah in healing body image struggles, disordered eating patterns, perfectionism, anxiety, burnout and life transitions. We meet online, from Salt Lake City to Park City to Midway.
Working With Women In
I work with women anywhere in Utah, including Provo, Ogden, St. George, Lehi and Sandy.
You can be doing everything right and still feel like you are failing
So much of life here is built around being active and capable, and there is real joy in that. For many of the women I see, it also quietly became one more place to be measured, where restriction and over-exercise look like discipline from the outside and feel like something else entirely from the inside.
What everyone else sees
- Disciplined, consistent, always training for something
- Eats well, knows the numbers, rarely misses a workout
- Up before everyone, on top of it all, never complains
- The friend other women say they wish they could be
What it can feel like from in here
- A rest day brings guilt rather than relief
- Eating has become a set of rules you are always slightly failing
- How you feel about yourself depends on the kind of week you have had
- You are tired in a way that sleep does not reach
If both of those are true at the same time, you are not being dramatic and you are not bad at wellness. You are worn out from earning your own approval. That is something we can work on gently, and you will not be asked to give up the things you genuinely love.
The months when the light goes flat
Utah winters ask a lot of you. The inversion settles into the valley, the sky stays grey for weeks, and your energy, your appetite and your patience can all shift with it.
If you find yourself eating differently, pulling away from people, or being hard on yourself for not bouncing back, I want you to know that is not weakness and it is not a lack of discipline. Your body is responding to its environment, the way bodies do.
We can work with it directly. And if we start before the winter arrives, we can prepare for it together rather than meeting it unprepared.
What our work together tends to look like
In the early weeks we slow down rather than rushing to fix anything. We get curious about what your body is doing, when it started, and what it has been trying to protect you from. Usually there is a good reason.
From there we work with your nervous system as much as with your thoughts, so that what changes actually settles rather than becoming one more thing to keep on top of.
Some weeks are practical. Some are tender. You set the pace, and I will tell you honestly what I notice along the way.
How I work
My work blends nervous system regulation, somatic and trauma-informed approaches, and identity-level rewiring to create deep, lasting change.
So much of what you are carrying is not only in your thoughts. It lives in your body and your nervous system, which is why understanding a pattern is so often not enough to change it. We work with both, building awareness around your thoughts, sensations, behaviors and beliefs.
I will never ask you to go somewhere you are not ready to go. We move at your pace.
How sessions work
Mountain Time, one hour ahead of me
I practice from California, so our calendars line up easily. Late mornings and afternoons are usually the simplest hours to hold onto.
Nothing to download
I send a private link that opens in your browser. A quiet room and headphones if you have them, and you are set.
Licensed here, and happy to be checked
Trusting someone new is a big ask. Utah publishes therapist licences through the Division of Professional Licensing, so please look mine up if that helps you feel easier about it.
We go at your pace
Some weeks call for real work and some call for rest. You will never be pushed to move faster than feels safe, and you can tell me at any point that something is too much.
Questions you may have
Is wanting to be healthy really a problem?
Not at all, and I will never ask you to stop caring about your health. What we look at together is the relationship underneath it. Whether rest is allowed. Whether a missed workout changes how you feel about yourself. Whether the rules have quietly grown stricter over the years. You get to keep the movement you love. It is the part that punishes you we are letting go of.
I would rather people here did not know
That is a completely fair thing to want, especially somewhere word travels. There is no parking lot and no waiting room. You log in from home, what we talk about stays between us, and you decide who knows anything at all.
Winter is when I struggle most. Can we start before then?
Yes, and I would gently encourage it. Beginning in the autumn means we understand your patterns and have real support in place before the inversion settles in, instead of starting the work in the middle of the hardest stretch.
I travel a lot for work and for the mountains
What matters is the state you are physically in during a session. I am licensed in Utah, California, Florida and South Carolina, so travel between those four is simple. Anywhere else, just tell me in advance and I will be straightforward about what we can do.
What happens on the first call?
We talk. There is nothing to prepare and no form to complete. You share what is going on, I explain how I work, and you decide whether it feels like the right fit. There is no obligation either way.
Let us start with a conversation
A first call is free, and there is no pressure to book anything afterwards. Tell me as much or as little as you want to, and I will be honest with you about whether I am the right person to help.
